The Centre piece from which each of the others will evolve will consist of a homage to the innocents of conflict and depravation.

Primarily it is imagined to be in the form of a wall, 20' x 3' x 8' formed from stained and leaded glass it will depict, not the veterans of wars in recent years but the so called 'collaterals'; the civilians, women, children, male non-combatants, those whose spiritual lives guide them to provide aid to war torn countries, for these individuals the woes and sorrows that we in the western world suffer are luxuries though let that not distract from the joys of the children blissfully unawares of the realities of war.

There is no shortage of conflicts, there are few parts of this beautiful world that are not torn apart by bombs, bullets and death but, life goes on.  water, power, education, health services food and sanitation, the basics of what we enjoy though take for granted more often than not are either in short supply or non existant and yet, while armies wage their war on full stomachs and thoughts of an end to their tour of duty, those not involved are forced, not only to try and glean some form of life within the strife but to continue long after the warring factions have dispersed.

It is not only in the war torn countries where abject suffering exists, the favelas of South America, the slums of India, the poverty of the africas, the unstable baltics, the overcrowded childrens homes, forced labor and prostitution, the suffering of this modern world even away from war is equally appalling and for sure overshadows the incomparable sadness exhibited in developed continents, listen to the people in the queues in which you stand, listen to those unsatisfied with their governments, their employment, their wage, their homes, you do not have to stray too far from home to find unhappy people though for me they are not the unhappy ones, they are the ignorant who have much to be thankful for.

From this central piece all other structures, artworks and sculptures will hi-lite the discontent in civilised and peaceful lands.

It is intended that the wall will issue, not only the sounds of the suffering but also the joys of the children who should be crying though find joy in their lives in the worst possible surroundings, always a football, always a toy, always a smile in return for the seemingly insignificant gift that in our world would be rejected.
